Did you know… that quinoa is not a grain?  It’s an edible seed of a plant in the Amaranthaceae family and is an ancient staple food that is considered a complete protein.  This means it contains all 9 of the essential amino acids your body needs to function  It’s one of the ONLY plant-based complete proteins!
 
And guess what Amaranth, the other plant in Gluvana’s flour blends, is high in the amino acid lysine, which is usually deficient in cereal grains, is high in fiber and dietary minerals such as iron, magnesium, phosphorus, copper and especially manganese.  Amaranth is also a good source of antioxidants that help protect the body against oxidative stress and inflammation.
