Gluvana’s Classic & Moist Pound Cake Smart-Blend gives You Control on how much Sugar to add and the Nutrition Facts to inform your choice. Choose to bake a slightly sweet (3/4 cup sugar), medium sweet (1 cup sugar) or regular sweet (1 and 1/4 cup sugar) cake. Manage your sugar intake and enjoy a delicious and moist gluten-free classic pound cake whichever way You choose!
Preheat oven to
325 degrees
Mix 1 Cup unsalted butter (room temp) & 2 Tbsp. hot water until fluffy (about 10 minutes)
Stir in 1 bag of Gluvana…. & either 3/4, 1 or 1 & 1/4 full cup of granulated sugar (See above and Nutrition Facts).
Add *1/2 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy, at room temp), 1 tsp. vanilla & 1 tsp. lemon extracts, & 4 eggs one at a time, mixing on low to medium speed until combined.
Pour into a greased 10 inch loaf pan. Bake for 55-60 minutes or until done in center. Check at 50 minutes in case your oven bakes in less time. Cool in pan for 15-20 minutes; remove. Add frosting or topping if desired.
*Pro Tip: Remember different kinds of milks have different consistencies. If you think your batter looks too thick, mix in an extra 1/4 cup of milk. This blend is so easy to work with that you can even substitute flax if you want it egg free. You can also sweeten how you like to best control your sugar intake.
