gluten-free fried mushrooms

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (125g) Gluvana Gluten-Free Frying Flour
  • 1 tsp. (5g) salt
  • ½ tsp. (2.5g) pepper (or other choice of herbs & spices)
  • ½ cup (125mL) soda water, chilled
  • 1 cup (8 oz.) whole button mushrooms, stems removed

Directions:

Heat oil to 375?F. Mix Gluvana Gluten-Free Frying Flour, salt, pepper/herbs/spices, and soda water into a thin batter. Add washed mushrooms and stir to coat evenly. Remove the coated mushrooms and place in hot oil, being careful not to overcrowd. Fry until golden brown, about 3 minutes. Remove, drain and repeat with any remaining mushrooms.
